New Certificate IV in Work Health Safety Program Replaces Out-of-Date Occupational Health and Safety Program.
Workplace health and safety is just as important in the coal seam gas industry as it is in all other industries.
In fact, there are a number of benefits to maintaining a safe workplace.
Besides being “the right thing to do,” maintaining a safe work environment also produces financial benefits for a company by minimizing lost costs, worker’s comp claims, insurance costs and legal fees.
Plus, a safe work environment also boosts employee morale, which in turn increases productivity, efficiency and ultimately a company’s profit margin.
When workplace safety is a priority, worker absences and workforce turnover decrease and quality of work increases.
Despite all the benefits that attention to workplace safety offers, it is often unintentionally overlooked.
That’s where the right work health and safety training can prove beneficial by giving workers the skills and knowledge to not only identify unsafe acts and conditions but also develop practical solutions to then minimize those risks and ensure a more safe work environment.
Among those offering work health and safety training for coal seam gas workers is the Australasian Training and Education Centre.
The centre is now offering an up-to-date Certificate IV in Work Health Safety Program.
This new certificate program was created after government officials reviewed and updated the Occupational Health and Safety Code of Practice of 2008 and created the Work Health Safety Act of 2011.
Officials followed up that work by issuing additional updates last year with the Work Health Safety Codes of Practice 2012.
The Australasian Training and Education Centre’s new Certificate IV in Work Health Safety Program covers all the updates as well everything that has remained unchanged.

The Australasian Training and Education Centre is offering the Certificate IV in Work Health Safety Program in an intensive 5 day classroom course or via distance learning.
The Australasian Training and Education Centre’s classroom based learning is designed to be completed in 5 days and features an expert trainer who will help attendees every step of the way. Class size is kept small to ensure attendees receive the necessary attention.
The Australasian Training and Education Centre’s distance learning program, on the other hand, is delivered online so that students have more flexibility in when and where they wish to complete their training.
